The VPM Quantizer board is designed to receive four sets of Sine and Cosine video signals from the phase correlators and amplifies the signals by nine times. The amplified video signals are compared with the preset threshold voltage and quantized to obtain four sets of 6-bit ‘Gray code’ quantized data. The FPGA receives comparator data through the voltage level translator and the output of FPGA is transmitted to RS-422 line drivers. The latched quantized data along with the strobe are made available on RS-422 line at the output connector.
